Trail to Moran

I have always liked this view of Mt Moran. The meadows have these large rocks that look like someone just picked them up and placed them there.

I believe that this earth we live on was created by God with an infinite variety of sceneries for us to enjoy. I also believe that any talent I may possess, whether in painting or any other field is a gift to me from that same Creator.

I love starting a new painting, taking a two dimensional canvas and turning it into a three dimensional painting. I am intrigued by the challenge of a panaramic scene and the changes of color causing the painting to receed. Just as intriguing, are scenes that I call "cubby holes of nature," that happen within 100 feet of you. It is exciting to capture the many different colors, textures, and movements of the scene.

I hope you enjoy looking at these paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them.
