Horseshoe Bend Left

I have driven Highway 89 just south of Page, Arizona many times and did not know that I was within 1 mile of this famous spot on the Colorodo River. On one of those trips I saw a small sign on the side of the road that read Horseshoe Bend. I thought, "That can't be the Horseshoe Bend!" I turned around and drove down a short dirt road to a parking area, hiked up a sandhill and out through the desert. You can't see this spot until you are within 100 yards of the rim. Breathtaking!
